PROCESS

1. COMPLIMENTARY DISCOVERY CALL

This complimentary 20-minute call is an opportunity for us to connect and discuss your project goals, timeline, and budget. I’ll walk you through my design process, answer any questions you may have, and learn more about your vision for your home. It’s the first step in your design journey with us.

2. INITIAL IN-HOME CONSULTATION

During this one-hour in-home consultation, I’ll walk through the space, take measurements and notes, and learn more about your lifestyle, needs, and design preferences. We’ll also discuss your budget, priorities, and overall vision for the project. Following the consultation, I’ll provide a detailed project proposal.

3. PROJECT PROPOSAL

Your project proposal will outline the scope of work, estimated timeline, and suggested budget for the project. Once approved, I’ll provide a design contract and invoice outlining the services, fees, and expectations for working together.

4. SCHEMATIC DESIGN

This phase focuses on space planning and overall layout development. I’ll begin exploring floor plan options, room flow, and the placement of key architectural elements such as doors and windows, while ensuring the proposed design aligns with local building requirements and project goals.

5. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

This is where the vision really begins to come to life. Once the floor plans are approved, we’ll begin selecting finishes, lighting, plumbing fixtures, millwork, doors, trim details, and other design elements that shape the overall look and feel of your home.

6. PROJECT DOCUMENTATION

During this phase, architectural and design drawings are finalized for permit submissions and construction. Depending on the scope of the project, this may include floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, window and door schedules, and specification documents for materials and finishes.

These detailed documents help contractors and trades provide accurate quotations and ensure the project is executed according to the approved design. One revision to the floor plans is included within the original design contract.

7. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION

Throughout construction, I’ll remain involved to help answer contractor questions, review site progress, and address any necessary adjustments that may arise during the build process. Site visits will be conducted to help ensure the project is being executed according to the design drawings and overall vision. Any required site changes or change orders will be managed as outlined in the design contract.

No matter the size, every project is approached with care, collaboration, and attention to detail—creating spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.
